BHMA Joins New Fenestration Alliance
To Improve Networking Opportunities
The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) has joined forces with several other trade
associations connected with the door, window, and skylight industries to create the Fenestration Industry Alliance
(FIA).
The purpose of the new alliance is to develop a clearinghouse of information regarding building
code and regulatory activities impacting the fenestration industry and its suppliers, as well as to discuss and
coordinate association representation before key code groups and regulatory meetings.
"We believe BHMA’s membership in FIA will provide valuable networking opportunities for
keeping abreast of key code developments affecting the industry," explains BHMA Technical Director Mike Tierney.
Other well-known groups joining FIA include the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI), Wood and Door
Manufacturers Association (WDMA), American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), Glazing Industry Code
Committee (GICC), Glass Association of North America (GANA), National Sunroom Association (NSA), and National Fenestration
Rating Council (NFRC).
