BHMA has
a Power-point program available -- a registered program with
the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education
System (AIA/CES). This is a worthwhile program for anyone
in the industry. This AIA/CES program is designed to provide
architects and other building professionals with a thorough
understanding of the American National Standards for builders
hardware; product certification of building products; third-party
certification of builders hardware, and how to specify third-party
certified architectural hardware for construction projects.
The presentation
is designed to run approximately one hour (but can be made
longer.) AIA members get 1.0 Learning Hours,as well as Health,Safety
and Welfare (HSW)credit. We can arrange to have a presentation
done for you and your colleagues at any time, working around
your schedule. Just contact us to make arrangements.
The Builders
Hardware Manufacturers Association is here to assist specifiers,
architects and other interested parties with hardware products
for their buildings. When you specify or distribute a product--be
it hinges, locks, door closers, exit devices, or other builders
hardware--you need to be assured that the quality product
you expect is delivered. Certification is the only way you
can be assured that the products meet the performance requirements
you have specified.
