BHMA Announces Revisions To Standard A156.20 For Strap And Tee Hinges And Hasps
NEW YORK, NY…The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) has published a new edition of its American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A156.20 standard for Strap and Tee Hinges and Hasps.
The key change to this standard is the addition of a Cycle Test. It has been added to provide better parameters by which to judge the durability of these hinges and hasps. For 2001, the standard itself has been reformatted providing a clear and concise blueprint for the requirements of Strap Hinges, Tee Hinges, and Hasps, as well as performance tests covering operational and strength criteria.
